Dr Alex Stewart
Alex was previously a General Practitioner in the remote, northern mountains of Pakistan (1976-1996). It was in Pakistan that he met his Irish wife, Ruth, and where they b rought up their three children (Ivan, Karen, Martin), who are all now married and living away from Hoylake.
He is now a Public Health doctor, working for the Health Protection Agency, with responsibility around the effects of the environment and pollution on health. He enjoys his Scottish heritage as well as reading, listening to classical music, walking and discussing the meaning of life. |

Dr Ian Woods
Ian has been associated with the Chapel since his family moved to Hoylake in 1956 and has worked for the last 32 years as a Family Doctor on the Sparrowhall estate in Liverpool. He works with his wife Julie, a Nurse Clinician in the same practice. He has two sons, one of whom is training to be a Doctor in London, and one of whom is studying for his Masters of Architecture at Liverpool.
Ian took partial retirement in 2008 to help a little more in the church and pursue his recently taken up hobby of cycling. His deepest concerns is for the discipling of young adults and to this end he has worked in various roles for Merseyside Christian Youth Camps and is currently catering for the Alpha course running at the Chapel. He is available for pastoral visiting on Monday and Tuesdays and can be contacted on 07976 884304. |
